John SchriderJohn Schrider - Director

John co-founded Forme Consulting Group in 1987 and has made a major contribution to the establishment of resin. He has a wealth of knowledge of the forestry industry, in which he has worked since 1969.

John¡¯s eighteen-year career with the former NZ Forest Service followed a different route than most. He began in a range of in-charge positions and moved to specialise in industrial engineering and training, including a 3 year period managing harvesting and transportation contracts for Kaingaroa Forest and the Central North Island wood supply region.

John has been actively involved with harvesting related industrial engineering projects within Forme since 1987 and is widely experienced in the completion and delivery of both general and specialised client projects.

A deep understanding of the fundamentals of harvesting and transportation production systems, recognition that wood supply chain performance in New Zealand relative to major competitors has deteriorated in recent years, and ever decreasing local resources available to undertake forest engineering this work has inspired John¡¯s contribution to the creation of the collaborative resin model.
